DEPARTMENT OF PRIMARY EDUCATION AND PRESCHOOL EDUCATION

Our department consists of two main departments: Preschool Education and Primary School Teacher Education. The Department of Preschool Education aims to contribute to the field by conducting scientific studies in the field of preschool education as well as educating teachers who will work in preschool education institutions. In order to accomplish these objectives, it offers graduate education as well as 4-year undergraduate education. The Pre-School Undergraduate Program is a 4-year program. The aim of the Department of Preschool Education, pre-school teachers who have basic knowledge and professional knowledge, can develop themselves and are sensitive to the problems and needs of our country and the world, have positive attitudes and behaviors towards children, sensitive to the problems of society and environment, behaving in accordance with professional ethics, to train academicians and other professionals who will work in the field. The primary objective of the Department of Primary School Education is to train Classroom Teachers who are committed to Atatürk's principles and revolutions, attach importance to human rights and democracy, have professional awareness, positive attitude towards primary school education and students, and professional skills in their field. It is aimed that the graduates of this program will have the skills of problem solving, analytical thinking, critical thinking, scientific research methods and skills following the innovations in the field and will be confident in using educational technologies. In the Department of Primary School Teaching, undergraduate education is provided and those who successfully complete the program can work as a Primary School Teacher in educational institutions. The department was opened in 2008 and has been graduating since 2012.
